Dimitris Asteriou was born in Drama in 1973. He lives and works in Chania, Crete. He completed his studies at the Department of Nursing of the Technological Educational Institute of Thessalonica and then at the Department of Psychology of the University of Rethimno, but his love for painting led him to other pathways.

His first paintings deal with almost all topics, but mainly cover naturalistic and surrealist landscapes, as well as portrait painting.
