Maria Vyrra was born in Athens, Greece in 1984. She studied civil engineering from 2002 to 2007 in the Technological Institute of Pirαeus and from 2008 to 2013 she studied painting in the Athens School of Fine Arts at the studio of Panos Charalampous, she also studied sculpture at the studio of Thodoros Papagiannis and Nikos Tranos and stage design at the studio of Lily Pezanou. She has participated in various group exhibitions and competitions in Greece, London, Milan, Rome, Moscow, Lisbon and Cyprus.

In 2014 she was presented as an emerging artist among others at the international art magazine ” Art Habens ”, her artworks can be found in private collections in Greece, in Como lake of Italy and in London. In 2018 she has participated with the painting Le vent-le cri in the lasting exhibition of Greek artists at the Maximos Presidential Mansion.
