Ukrainian artist based in Zhytomyr region. For more than 20 years teaching drawing, painting and composition at the Korostyshiv Art School. «I work in the technique of watercolor painting in the genre of landscape. I am interested in artistic paper cutting — embossing. When I am working with paper, I prefer to create complex compositions by simple means. I appreciate watercolor for the “holiday of color” that it creates in the format, for the special atmosphere of transparency, weightlessness and lightness — something that is missing in our real life. Everything is so simple — water, paper and a couple of colors».

Rita Maikova is an abstract artist from Ukraine. She is young and talented and here is what Rita tells about her art: «I see art as an endless dialogue between the soul and the Universe. I study psychology, which greatly influences my abstract works. I traveled a long way before I found my own unique style of self-expression. The key figure for my inspiration is Love. The task of my art is to stop the endless inner discourse going on in any person’s head and to give everyone an opportunity to experience life at the moment “here and now”, a sense of connecting with oneself and with the whole world. My paintings are full of symbols and signs. Each of them brings a sense of its own, with which I fill the form. No matter how complicated my abstractions apparently are at first glance, in general, they represent a simple form that everyone can understand.

For some time, I have been researched the notion of the Sublime and the Contemporary Sublime in visual art. My research aims were direct toward landscape painting and the role of a figure in it. My perspective of art In my works of art, I focused on the struggle of humanity on nature. I made figures that cry out the vicissitudes of people, eternity and time. I was very impressed by every object in nature, especially birds. To me, birds mean getting rid of impossibilities for a moment.I sometimes made my works as if I examined the nature with microscope. I also subsumed the idea of seeing my arts with the people’s sincere feelings to life.

I work peacefully with the feast of colors where I can reflect the language of my soul, perhaps one of the rare moments I stayed at moment is painting. The colors of light waves are very important in human life. So, when I think about who to touch or feel when paintings, I like to work on emprovisas by adding much more meticulousness and beautiful feelings. Going far beyond my dreams is that it hosts a different feeling in each table, adding a different magic to the symbolic communication tool of colors.
